He is survived by: his spouse Mary Avery of Americus; his daughters, Mary Rounds of Americus and Cindy Miller of Preston; his stepdaughter Nancy Peavy of Ellaville; his sons, Steve Avery of Americus, Charles Clay Avery of Virginia and Kenny Avery of Americus; his siblings, Bernice Felker, Ima Jean Law and Eugene Avery of Oglethorpe; his grandchild Taylor Peavy; Sammie Mable.
