He is survived by: his grandsons, Michael Kendrick, Bill Armstrong, Jimmy Toms, Jr., Kevin Hall, Dustin Johnson and Barry Kinservik; his wife Annie Mae Toms of Americus, GA; his children, David Toms, Jr. (Kathy) of Americus, GA, Johnny Toms (Bobbie Jo) of Leesburg, GA, Connie Braswell (Daniel) of Leesburg, GA and Lori Grant (Mark) of Americus, GA; and his brother Donald Toms (Wanda) of Americus, GA. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
