He is survived by: his wife Eva Mae Northcutt Thornton of Fort Valley; his son Scott Northcutt Thornton of Fort Valley; his sisters, Virginia Haley (Robert) of Clarksville, Vina Rebecca "Bec" Thornton of Ellijay and Viola Belle Jordan of Birmingham; his grandchildren, Jennifer Morris (Robert), Emmalee Staggs (Billy), John Reese and Rebekah Reese; and his great grandchildren, Daniel Morris, Laura Kate Morris, Micah Morris, Willie Staggs and Ella Staggs.
