He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Anthony "Pete" Smith, Sr. and Betty Miller; and his sister Gaye Smith Lemminn. He is survived by: his daughter Heather Smith of Cordele; his siblings, Robbie Smith of Cobb and Carol Smith Lloyd of Americus; and his grandchild Luca McDowell.
