She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie James and Laura Lou Swearingen Tripp; her husband Dr. John Harold Durden; and her siblings, James Wesley Tripp, Charles Russell Tripp, Wilburn Leroy "Buck" Tripp, Jess Willard Tripp, Otis Tripp, Sr., Jessie Tripp, Eunice Tripp Nelson, Winnie Estoria Tripp Spillers and Annie Mae Tripp Faircloth.
She is survived by: her daughter Debra Durden Sloan of Americus; her grandson John Shannon Taylor (Hollie) of Ellaville; her great grandchildren, Sloan Mallorie Taylor and Laural Love Taylor of Ellaville; and her close friend Marsha Robinson. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
