He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Christian and Doris Christian; his brother Cary Christian, Sr.; and his great-nephew Cary Ryals Christian. He is survived by: his nephew Cary Christian, Jr. (Linda) of Americus; his niece Cynthia Lynn Boatwright (Scott); his great-nephews, Collins Christian and Brett Boatwright; and his great-niece Carolina Boatwright.
