With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lela Belle Turner Wilson of Americus, Georgia, born in Plains, Georgia, who passed away on January 30, 2022 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Horace Curran Turner and Tonnie Bartley Turner; her husband Lewis Emory Wilson; her siblings, Liz Turpin, H. C. Turner, Jr. and Lee Jack Turner; and her brothers-in-law, Charles Knight and Bill Turpin.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kim Mountjoy and Kerri Untch; her grandchildren, Nally Mountjoy (Richard Huff) and Kristen Perry Gordon (Andy Gordon); her great grandchildren, Grayson Gordon and Aniston Gordon; and her sister Faye Knight. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
