James L. Mueller Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James L. Mueller (Athens, Georgia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 1, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie S. Mueller and Gertrude Catherine Gorman; and his brothers, John Mueller (Buzz) and Jack Mueller. He is survived by: his wife Grace; his daughters, Grace Thornton Burger (Danny), Jayne Day (Dean) and Sarah Coffey (Tom); his grandchildren, Jeff Thornton (Jennifer), Caroline Flanigan (Ryan), Christopher Day, Andrew Day, Connor Coffey and Luke Coffey; his great grandchildren, Jacob, Jackson Thornton, James, Daniel and Ian Flanigan; and his sister-in-law Martha Mueller. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cherished extended family.
A Mass will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Catholic Center (1344 S Lumpkin St, Athens, GA 30605).
