He is survived by: his spouse Betty Drew Nix; his parent Adena Cochran Nix; his daughter Nanci Nix of Athens; his granddaughter Savannah Lockman of Athens; his sister Mary Sue Holcomb Rigby of Alpharetta; his niece Sonja Holcomb; and his nephew Miles Holcomb (Jackie).
