He is survived by: his wife Edie Fay Cohen of Athens; his children, Robyn Cohen (Jennifer Wall) of Roswell, Mark Cohen (Sara) of Johns Creek and John Cohen (Lisa); his grandchildren, Elyssa, Jacob, Cayla and Dylan; and his siblings-in-law, Rhalda Kahn of Atlanta, Sandy Cohen of Atlanta and Les Rubin "Nermine" of Clearwater.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Jewish Education Loan Fund (JELF), the Congregation Children of Israel in Athens Ga, and Jewish Family and Career Services in Atlanta.
