He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Gosnell and Sylvia Gosnell; his brothers, Harold, Pete and Otha Gosnell; and his stepson Rodney Lawrence.

He is survived by: his children, Mark Gosnell (Christy) of Athens, Rhonda Gosnell of Athens and Donna Boland (Kevin) of Milledgeville; and his stepson Tony Lawrence (Sherrie) of Hull. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
