Martha Elizabeth Groh Obituary
We are sad to announce that on May 13, 2025, Martha Elizabeth Groh of Austell, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Lee Bender, Sr. and Margaret Burnette Bender; her brother Robert Lee Bender, Jr.; and her former husband Jack Ronald Salling, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Jack Ronald Salling, Jr. (Lisa) and Margaret Salling McCue (Matt); her granddaughters, Claire Salling Clemens (Will), Meara McCue and Avery McCue; her great grandchild Jack Clemens; her sister Barbara Howard (Ed); her sister-in-law Karen Bender Kirby (Paul); and her close friend Donald Butler. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Lane Funeral Home-Coulter Chapel (601 Ashland Terrace, Chattanooga, TN 37415). A graveside service was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Greenwood Cemetery (1954 Greenwood Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37406).
