She was predeceased by : her parents, Franklin Newman and Elon Newman; and her husband Morris Armstrong. She is survived by : her children, Demario (Sarah) and Courtney; her adoptive daughter Kia; her cousin Rev. Newman; her child Kia (Damon); her grandchildren, Keyana, Brianna, DeMaya, Jeremiah, Kimoni, Taylor-Michelle, Tirah and Tiana; her siblings, Dexter (Tina), Maurice (Lisa) and Pamela; her nieces, Victoria and Varsia; her uncle Anthony; and her aunt Renise Jackson. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins.
