It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Matthew Clark Cowan (Atlanta, Georgia), born in Riverdale, Georgia, who passed away on August 29, 2018, at the age of 41, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his son Chase Edward Cowan; his parents, Henrietta Fields Cowan and Harold "Hal" Cowan (Carla); his brother Jonathan Cowan (Diana); his nephew Jake Cowan; and his nieces, Laney Cowan and Esther Cowan.

In lieu of flowers, a college fund has been set up for Chase Cowan, Matt's 10 year old son.
