He was predeceased by: his parents, Christopher Columbus "Ted" and Viola Hayden Hartsaw; his nephew Jerry Bridwell Jr.; and his brothers, Colin Vaught and Christopher Columbus "Teddy" Hartsaw Jr..
He is survived by: his daughter LaToya Hartsaw Neary (Donald) of Piney Flats, TN; his siblings, Norma Faye Bridwell, Verna Howard-Snapp of Johnson City, Kay Hartsaw of Atlanta, GA, Jerry Hartsaw (Val) of California and Kenny Parks of Johnson City; and his aunt Marie Rutherford of Morganton, NC. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
