He was predeceased by: his parents, Susan Marie Langford Meekins and Newton Jasper Wardlaw III; and his grandparents, Irma Claire Fossier Langford, Dr. Richard Bennett Langford, Marthabel McKinley Wardlaw and N. J. Wardlaw Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Lisa Marie Wardlaw; his children, Patricia Marie Wardlaw (Patsy), Nathaniel James Wardlaw (Nathan) and Richard Andrew Wardlaw (Drew) of Atlanta, GA; his siblings, Richard Langford Wardlaw (Lang) of Conyers, GA, Robert Boe Wardlaw (Bob) of Honolulu, HI and Elizabeth Diane Stringer (Dalton) of Richardson, TX; his father-in-law Ralph Tomlinson (Judy) of Fort Myers, FL; his brother-in-law Philip Tomlinson (Julie) of Fort Myers, FL; and his siblings' children, Ben, Holly and Katelin. He is also survived by many cousins, family members, and friends.
A rosary was held on Friday, September 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the H. M. Patterson & Son Oglethorpe Hill (4550 Peachtree St NE, Atlanta, GA 30319). Visitation was held on Friday, September 5th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A memorial service was held on Sunday, September 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A reception was held on Sunday, September 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
