She was predeceased by: her husband Lonnie C. Strickland. She is survived by: her children, Dennis Strickland, Gayle Strickland of Auburn, GA, Wayne Strickland and Linda Strickland of Flowery Branch, GA; her grandchildren, Paige Born, Charity Lee, Angie Holland, Steve, Rob, Chris, Jon Strickland, Jud Smith and Andy Smith; her sister Eloise Williams; her brother-in-law Dwight Williams; her brother Charles Wages; and her sisters-in-law, Nellie and Florine Wages. She is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.
The family has respectfully requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Mrs. Strickland's name to Eagle Ranch, P.O. Box 7200, Chestnut Mountain, GA 30502 or to the Piedmont Regional Library System c/o Winder Public Library, 189 Bellview St, Winder, GA 30680, for their dedicated efforts in providing her with large-print books.
