It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dan Harold Sumner (Augusta, Georgia), born in Washington, Georgia, who passed away on July 17, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce McAfee Sumner; his parents, Eugene Sumner and Zimmie Tyson Sumner; and his sister Polly Sumner Brinson. He is survived by: his children, Wanda Sumner Martin (Luke), Danny Blake Sumner (Sandy) and Barry Eugene Sumner (Susan); his sister Carllene Veal; his grandchildren, Brandi Martin James (Troy), Holley Martin Holbert (Mac), Laura Sumner Poarch (Derek), Lindsey Sumner Bauer (Nick), Courtney Sumner and Bethany Sumner; and his great grandchildren, Mary Joyce James, Del Wade James (Bubba), Ashlynn Poarch, Davis Poarch, Abigail Bauer and Luke Aiden Holbert.
