He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Irene Bailey Drake and Ova Drake; his wife Sandy Drake; his daughters, Beverly Drake Bauer and Susan Drake; and his stepdaughter Julie Dorris. He was also cherished by one grandson, 3 granddaughters, and one great-granddaughter.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests and appreciates remembrances to be made to the Alzheimer's Association located at 106 SRP Dr, Evans, GA 30809.
