He is survived by: his wife Vivian Wright Smith; his sons, Gregory Earl Smith and Darrell Smith (Teresa); his granddaughter Shelby Smith; his nieces and nephews, Al Melton, Tim Melton, Sharonda Wright and Christine Melton; his siblings-in-law, Roosevelt Wright, James Wright and Lula Wright Williams; his cousin Ethel Jones; and his friend Deacon James Wilson.
