She was predeceased by: her parents, John Henry Mathis and Rosa Lee Thurmond Mathis. She is survived by: her child Guidance Clinic; her spouse Robert Leslie Rummel; her children, Bruce Rummel (Kay) of Susanville, Robin R. Snyder (Charles) of Durham and Rose Rummel-Eury (Michael) of Concord, N. C.; her grandchildren, Rebecca R. Ayling (Nate) of Portland, Joshua Snyder (Elizabeth) of Durham, Joy E. Snyder of Durham and Ryan Rummel (Brandy) of Palmer; and her sister-in-law Katherine Mathis. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
