He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Flanigan Washburn; his children, Stefanie Washburn Frey and Douglas Scott Washburn; his grandsons, Matthew Becker Frey, Thomas Anson Frey and Russell Palmer Frey, III; and his siblings, William Washburn, Terence Washburn, Steven Washburn, John Washburn and Velma "Micki" Washburn Steif.
