He was predeceased by: his sons, Irvin McDaniel Stephens, Jr. and David Alton Stephens; his parents, Alton Stephens and Mary Stephens; and his siblings, Doris Perry, Alton Stephens, Harold Stephens and Sandra Duggan.
He is survived by: his children, Tammy Aveille (Michael) and Chad Stephens (Virginia); his close friend Nell Overcash; his grandchildren, Michael Aveille, Kayla Aveille, Melody Stephens, Jesse Stephens, John Stephens and William Stephens; and his sisters, Alene Hobbs and Patricia Duggan.
