He was predeceased by: his parents, Elma Rowe Barnes and James Thomas Barnes. He is survived by: his spouse Sandra M. Barnes; his children, Richard Barnes (Sonia) of Martinez, Steven Barnes (Christine) of Rincon, GA, Glenn Barnes of Augusta and Lynda Schneller (Darren) of Amarillo, TX; and his brothers, Wayland Barnes (Pat) of Pensacola, FL and George Barnes of North Augusta, SC. He is also survived by ten grandchildren.
