He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Joseph Bert Felton, Sr. and Georgia; his wife Julie; his daughter Fran Felton Hickman (Bobby); his grandson Felton; and his brother James "Jimmy" Edward Felton (Nancy) of Augusta. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews, and many life-long beloved friends.
