She was predeceased by: her parents, Beechmond Alford and Louise Gregg Alford; her son Ulysses Alford (John M. Holloway); her brothers, William Henry Alford and Lawrence M. Alford; her grandson Ulysses Alford, Jr.; and her cousin Jacqueline Hamlet.
She is survived by: her niece Cynthia Alford of Clarkton; her daughter-in-law Yvonne L. Alford of Augusta, Georgia; her cousin Ann Duquesnay of New York; her grandchildren, Ulycia Frazier of Augusta, Georgia, Urban L. Alford of Augusta, Georgia, Uneé S. Abrams (Curtis) of Augusta, Georgia, Uvanney J. Alford (Alethea) of Gainesville, Virginia and Wesley L. White (Sheena) of Brooklyn; and her stepchildren, Johnsie Brome of Asheville, Carol Uche of Asheville and George Holloway (Deborah) of Asheville. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren; one great grandchild.
