He was predeceased by: his parents, Courtney James and Mila DeHart Powell. He is survived by: his wife Jackie Ferguson Powell; his children, Beverly Kay "BKay" Leopard (Chris) and Gregg Powell; his daughter-in-law Tonnia DeBord; the mother of his children Shannon Hardy Mitchell; his siblings, Douglas Powell, Darrell Powell, Dennis Powell, Janice Teasley, Debbie Moore, Bonnie Ward, Barbara Weekley and Judy Dalrymple; and his grandchildren, Jefferson Herrington, Beverly Williamson, Courtney Powell and Cole Powell. He is also survived by numerous extended family and many cherished friends.
