Lee Benefield Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lee Benefield of Augusta, Georgia, who passed away on January 27, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his brother Richard Benefield (Maybelle); his sisters-in-law, Estelle Smith and Katherine Burdsell; his goddaughter Doris Osborn (Joe); and his stepchildren, Dorothy Gibson (Robert), Tony Smiley (Betty), Richard Smiley (Janie), David Smiley (Anne), William Smiley (Theresa), Kirby Bennett (Gary) and Cedric Smiley (Marcella). He is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
