It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melanie Elaine Peters Smith (Augusta, Georgia), who passed away on September 25, 2018, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John F. Peters, Sr. and Dorothy Inez DeLaigle Peters. She is survived by: her son Christopher Boatwright of Augusta; her siblings, Alice Lazenby (Frank) of Augusta and Fred Peters (Karen) of Atlanta; her nephew Dylan Peters (Gretchen); and also, Sharon McAlevy (Larry), Karen Audrey Carter and Erin Peters.
