She is survived by: her sons, James Thigpen (Debra) and Rodney Thigpen (Melinda); her grandchildren, James Thigpen, Jr. (Ashley), Michael Thigpen (Sylvia), Rodney Thigpen, Jr. (Cindy), Robert Thigpen (Amye) and Nicole Meeks (Kyle); and her sisters, Joanne Werneke and Grace Walker.
