She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Alexander Winouski and Mattie Everlove Winouski Strickland; and her sisters, Mary Alice Stickland and Cathleen Petty. She is survived by: her husband Joel P. Dowling; her children, Sonya Dowling Rankin and Carl Dowling (Susan); her grandchildren, Natalie Rankin, Grant Rankin, Garrett Rankin, Stephen Dowling, Aaron Dowling, Claire Dowling and Thomas Dowling; her sister Jean Cover (Norman); her niece Sheri Strickland Sowell; and her nephews, Steve Strickland, Brian Cover, Keith Cover and John Petty.
