He is survived by: his wife Kimberly Newman Mottel; his children, Hunter Mottel (Jessica) of Lexington, SC, Haley Mottel of Columbia, SC and Hope Jordan (Joseph); his grandchildren, Sophie Kate Mottel, Luke Mottel and Adalyn Jordan; his mother Carole Mottel of North Augusta; and his siblings, Billy Mottel, Steve Mottel, David Mottel, Andy Mottel, Marsha Hornsby of Birmingham, AL and Mary Fletcher.
