He was predeceased by: his parents, John Blitchington and Betty Jean Pardue. He is survived by: his wife Brenda S. Blitchington; his children, Floyd Blitchington (Jenn) of Tennessee, Charlie Cook (Jo-An) of Columbia, SC, Charles Cook of Augusta, GA, Ann-Marie Cook and Jenna-Faye Penwell of Augusta, GA; his siblings, Kathy Gladden (Wayne) of Lugoff, SC, Wanda Crosby of Columbia, SC, Rosemary Barras of Columbia, SC, Patty Painter of Columbia, SC and David Hutto of Columbia, SC; his stepfather Thomas Barras; and his brother Ronnie Blitchington. He is also survived by ten grandchildren.
