It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth P. Scoggins in Augusta, Georgia, born in Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on January 13, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur F. Powell and Amelia B. Powell; her children, Mary Carol Scoggins and Stephen T. Scoggins; and her brothers, Arthur Powell, Robert Reid and Joseph Reid.
She is survived by: her husband William R. Scoggins, Sr.; her son William R. Scoggins, Jr.; her grandchildren, Stephanie R. Scoggins, Hannah S. Tanksley and Dylan M Scoggins; and her great grandchildren, Evelyn and Kelly Tanksley. She is also survived by four grand dogs.
