He was predeceased by: his spouse Rennie Juanita Beasley Murrell; and his parents, Grace Franklin Murrell and Buren Sherwood Murrell, Sr.. He is survived by: his children, Pam Seabolt (David), Rick Williamson (Terry), Rocky Price (Earlene), Melanie Brown (Tim) and Chris Price (Cheryl); and his siblings, Raymond Murrell (Marie), Leonard Murrell (Pam), Larry Murrell (Linda), Agnes Murray and Deloris Hill (Ken). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.
