He was predeceased by: his parents, James Judson and Beatrice King Bentley; his former wife Clemmie Steinhauer Bentley; his son John Judson Bentley; and his sisters, Jewell Childress (Freddie) and Beverly Bentley.
He is survived by: his spouse Jerrie Nye Bentley; his daughters, Carolyn B. Cannon (Chris) of Martinez, GA and Kellett Bentley Taylor (Keith) of Grovetown, GA; his grandsons, Christopher Cannon (Shelby), Matthew Cannon and Zachary Weldon; and his sister Bonnie Perry (Steve).
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 3185 Wheeler Road, Augusta, GA 30909.
