She was predeceased by: her parents, Elnora Logan Hunter and Robert Gartley Sr.; and her brothers, Robert Gartley Jr., Earl Gartley and Patrice Gartley.
She is survived by: her children, Tchamba, Jihossou and Dan; her cousin Togo; her husband Rodney Hindrew; her son Jarrett E. Hindrew; her daughter-in-law Katie Roach Hindrew; her sisters, Connie White and Mary Larry; her grandsons, Jackson and Connor Hindrew; her nieces and nephews, Larry Adams, Carlos Adams, Metro Gartley Jr., Darryl Gartley, Patricia Ann Gartley, Amber Gartley and Jasmine Gartley; and her great-niece Leeandra Gartley. She is also survived by other grandnieces, nephews, cousins and godchildren.
She requests that in lieu of flowers, that anyone wanting to make a contribution can purchase food and/or clothing and donate to the Mami Wata Healers Society Suraka Charity Fund for the Dispossessed and Homeless, managed by Mama Chief Zodede.
