He was predeceased by: his sister Daphne McCannon. He is survived by: his wife Jan Burroughs Loftis of Danielsville; his daughter Laura Jarrett Lanier (Joseph Minick Lanier); his grandchildren, Joseph Minick Lanier, Jr. and William Edwin Lanier of Statesboro, GA; his son John Brown Gordon Loftis (Meghan Rose Loftis); and his grandchildren, Thomas Gordon Loftis and Lucille Clyde Loftis of Athens.
Because Ed remained interested in following the baseball program at Madison County High School, the family asks that in lieu of flowers contributions in memoriam be made to the M.C. Diamond Club, P.O. Box 87, Danielsville, GA 30633.
