She is survived by: her children, Violet Smith (Julian), Danny McGouirk (Barbara), Linda Maple and Janet Champion Morgan; and her sisters, Mary Hightower and Barbara Hendricks. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
