He was predeceased by: his wife Evelyn Jean Gaines; and his daughter Karen Diane Covington. He is survived by: his son Kent S. Gaines, Jr. of Austell, GA; his grandsons, Andrew Joseph Gaines and Evan Christopher Gaines; and his children-in-law, Beth Jackson Gaines and Jack Covington. He is also survived by many Nieces and Nephews.
