He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Cross and Elizabeth Cross. He is survived by: his wife Gail Anne Cross; his children, Erika Cross MacDonald (Jeffery) of Hollis, NH and Aleksandrs Parker Cross (Estelle) of Idaho Falls, ID; and his grandchildren, Victoria Marie, Edouard, Erik, Adelaide and Emma.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Richard's name be made to the Patriot Guard at PO Box 2025, Toccoa, GA 30577-1437.
