He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Gowens. He is survived by: his daughters, Donna (Ken Cooper), Pamela (Scott Sanders), Cynthia (Jay Jones) and Kimberly (Tad Richison). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mr. Gowens' name to The National Kidney Foundation at kidney.org/donate.
