He was predeceased by : his spouse Sela Serenity Pearson; and his children, Vanessa Pearson, Michelle Pearson, Zackary Pearson, Edward Pearson and Anthony Pearson.

He is survived by : his children, Gregory Pearson of Covington, GA, Maxine Pearson of Brooklyn, NY, Claudia Sewell of Hampton, GA, Leonard Pearson of Austell, GA and Jonathan Pearson of Douglasville, GA; and his sister Annabelle Pearson of Brooklyn, NY. He is also survived by 50 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
