She was predeceased by: her parents, Joel E. Carroll and Blanche Odom Carroll; her husband Rufus M. Gay; and her siblings, Larraine Croft, Carl Hines, Bronzie Hines, Harold Hines and Joe Carrolll, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Raymond Gay (Barbara) of Axson and Tammy Bennett (Billy) of Willacoochee; and her grandchildren, McKinley Musgrove (Meagan), Jenna Gaskins (Trebor), Rayna Miller (Trace), Amber Edgy (James) and Amanda Whitford (Bryan). She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Relihan Funeral Home (164 S Main St, Pearson, GA 31642). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Axson Evangelistic Church (520 Fiddler Green Rd, Axson, GA 31624).
