She was predeceased by : her parents, Paul H. Trulock Jr. and Margretta McGavock Trulock; and her brother Paul Hines Trulock III. She is survived by : her husband William Thad Pettyjohn of Climax; her daughters, Gretta (Johnny Smith) of Greenville and Margaret (Trent Joy) of Navarre, Florida; her granddaughters, Mary Grace Smith and Elizabeth McGavock Smith; her stepgrandson Thomas Trent Joy (Abigail); and her brother Robert McGavock Trulock (Anne Lambert Trulock). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 28th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Cadwell Chapel of Cox-Ivey Funeral Home (502 S Scott St, Bainbridge, GA 39819). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church (200 E Shotwell St, Bainbridge, GA 39819).
