He was predeceased by: his siblings, Danny Massingill and Ollena Owens; and his son Erik Ernest Massingill. He is survived by: his wife Marsha McGahee Massingill; his son Jared Paul Massingill (Adrienne Massingill); and his grandchildren, Thomas Morris, Elysabeth Massingill and Scotland Massingill. He is also survived by three great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
