He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland Ward and Ruth Ward; and his daughter Karen Kelly. He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his sons, Stephen and Kevin; his brothers, John Ward, Dave Ward, Gerald Ward, Robert Manning and Collin Manning; and his grandchildren, Christine Jones, Viviana Arias, Kevin Ward Jr., Christina Ward, Daniel Ward and Monique Ward. He is also survived by 18 great grandchildren.
