He was predeceased by: his wife Carole Ann Ashley; his parents, Lloyd Ashley and Minnie Ashley; and his siblings, Mary Lee Petty, Lou Jean Clark, Elaine Janey, Ted Ashley and James Ashley.
He is survived by: his daughter Cindy Rodriguez (Gustavo); his grandchildren, Jessica Montes and James Still; his great grandchildren, Jasmine Kimbrell, Alex Montes, Keegan Still, Ariel Montes and Alana Jordan; his great great grandchild Brantley Kimbrell; and his siblings, Sue Nagle, Doris Gill (Bill) and Gary Ashley. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
