It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ray Mayers (Baxley, Georgia), born in Appling, Georgia, who passed away on October 19, 2018, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his parent Ellen Cain Mayers; his children, Michael Mayers (Bedell) of Baxley and Cindy Vedas (David) of Valdosta; his grandchildren, Katie Mayers, Colby Mayers, Ellen Vedas and Allison Vedas Cooper; his great grandchild Carson Ray Cooper; and his siblings, Hugh Mayers of Baxley and Carolyn Bridges of Atlanta.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting a contribution be made to the Zoar Cemetery Fund, c/o Rita Boyette, 2915 Nail Rd., Baxley, GA, 31513.
