He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Alton and Ella Mae Davis Hiers; his brothers, Kenny Hiers, Alton Worten and Billy Hiers; and his half-brother Randy Hiers.
He is survived by: his wife Willene Taylor Hiers of Blackshear; his daughters, Cindy (Randy Crawford), Kristie (Mike O'Steen) and Robin (Tony Mixon); his grandchildren, Brooke Williams (Michael) of Brunswick, Karissa Willis (Bryan) of Adel, Eric Tyler Johnson of Charleston, WV, Ryan Halsey of Charleston, WV, Brandon Johnson of Smyrna, GA, Kyler Crawford of Blackshear, Karrigan Foskey of Milledgeville, GA, Ethan Foskey of Cochran and Gavin Foskey of Cochran; his great grandchildren, Brody of Brunswick, Baylor of Brunswick, Mia Katherine Williams of Brunswick, Easton of Adel and Elleree Willis of Adel; and his siblings, Wallace Hiers of Bristol, Jimmy Hiers of Mershon, Rev. Roger Worten (Cathy) of Starke, FL, Wanda Scott of Waycross, Terry Hiers of Waycross and Clifton Hiers of Waycross. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
